COVID-19 Clinic Update
3/15/2020
Dear MPS Clients:
Dr. Miles and Miles Psychological Services have been closely monitoring the developments of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak in Minnesota.
After careful consultation and reflection with several other mental health providers, and following best-practices identified by the Minnesota Department of Health, as well as many other state and federal guidelines, it has been decided that the clinic will suspend all in-person (face-to-face) therapy sessions for the next 3-4 weeks (pending ongoing monitoring).
Dr. Miles will be reaching out to each of you over the next couple days to discuss options for care, which may include temporary suspension of therapy, temporary transition to telemedicine (video) sessions, brief phone check-ins, or referral to other community resources.
As a private practitioner, I strive to help the greatest number of patients possible, and as many of you know I see a wide range of individuals - the majority with chronic health issues. Many of the issues surrounding COVID-19 create a scenario in which I no longer feel that I can keep all of my patients safe and healthy. Therefore, to continue to best serve my clients, I feel that I must attempt to temporarily transition my services to online and remote support to best protect all of my patients.
This change will be temporary, and only expected to last until the situation begins to resolve.
As mentioned above, I will be reaching out to each of my clients directly over the next couple days to plan our next steps. If you have any immediate questions, please feel free to call my message line.
Sincerely,
Vincent Miles, PsyD LP
